What is this, and is it for me?
A blend of ocean minerals, salts, and CO2-boosting powders for one long, loaded soak. Warm water supports absorption of minerals through the skin, and the added CO2 blend creates a gentle fizzing effect that enhances the bathing experience.
- Anyone who wants one properly loaded mineral bath a couple of times a month rather than a weak one every week
- People already on an oral magnesium routine who want the bathing ritual alongside it
- Anyone tired of bath products that are mostly fragrance, dye, and foam
- Run hot water until the tub reaches 90–95°F (not hotter, to help maintain mineral integrity).
- As the water runs, add the entire large bag of minerals. Stir to distribute.
- You may split it into two baths if desired, but using the full amount creates the most concentrated experience.
- Once the bath is full, add both small packets. The water will begin to fizz.
- Soak for 30–45 minutes for best results.
- Many users enjoy this bath as an occasional recharge, whether for general maintenance or when they feel the need for extra support.
- NEVER add soap.
- Bath soaks have long been valued as a traditional way to relax and refresh the body. Warm water supports absorption of minerals through the skin, and many people use mineral baths to complement their wellness and self-care routines.
- The fizz is real chemistry. USP grade sodium bicarbonate and citric acid react in water and release carbon dioxide. The added CO2 blend creates a gentle fizzing effect that enhances the bathing experience.
- Zechstein magnesium in the High-Mag. The High-Mag version includes additional Genuine Zechstein Magnesium Chloride Flakes for those seeking extra magnesium support.
- One bag, one properly loaded bath. Six lab-tested materials, measured out. You can split it across two baths, but the full amount creates the most concentrated experience.
- An occasional recharge. Many users enjoy this bath for general maintenance or when they feel the need for extra support. Customer feedback highlights a sense of relaxation and calmness, rejuvenation and improved energy, and an overall feeling of well-being and refreshment after the soak.

What's in the bag
Six materials, all lab tested. Zechstein magnesium chloride flakes appear in the High-Mag blend only.
| Ingredient | Why it's in the tub |
|---|---|
| Full spectrum ocean minerals | The trace-mineral base of the blend. |
| Dead Sea salts | The classic mineral bathing salt, high in magnesium and potassium chlorides relative to ordinary sea salt. |
| Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) | The traditional bath salt. It dissolves fast and is what most people already associate with a soak. |
| Genuine Zechstein magnesium chloride flakes | High-Mag blend only. Magnesium chloride from the Zechstein seabed, added on top of the base for a more concentrated bath. |
| USP grade sodium bicarbonate | Half of the fizz. Softens the feel of the water too. |
| Citric acid (from citrus) | The other half of the fizz. It reacts with the bicarbonate in water and releases CO2. |
For external use only.

The research behind the ingredients
Published research on the ingredients in this product, for education. These studies were not conducted on this product.
Mineral salt bath (rock/sea salt in warm water)
Warm saltwater bath trial, 2025
BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies · 2025 · RCT · n=54
In a three-arm randomized controlled trial, 54 adults with rheumatoid arthritis took 20-minute 41°C hand and foot baths three times weekly for six weeks; both warm-water and warm-saltwater baths reduced pain and fatigue versus control, with saltwater producing the largest pain reduction and improved functional capacity.
CO₂-generating bath blend (sodium bicarbonate + citric acid)
CO2 water bathing thermography study, 2021
International Journal of Vascular Medicine · 2021 · non-randomized before-after study · n=47
In a before-and-after clinical measurement study of 47 patients, a 10-minute 42°C bath in CO₂-enriched water (1000 ppm) raised mean finger temperature from 30.8°C to 35.3°C and reduced temperature disparity between fingers for at least 30 minutes.
Magnesium chloride / magnesium sulfate (Epsom, Zechstein flakes)
Myth or Reality—Transdermal Magnesium?
Nutrients · 2017 · mechanistic review
A review of the transdermal magnesium literature describing the stratum corneum as the limiting barrier, with follicles and sweat glands covering 0.1-1% of skin surface, and calling for larger and better-controlled bath and oil studies to quantify how much magnesium is taken up.
Evidence note: Moderate: warm mineral baths have randomized human evidence for comfort and fatigue, and CO2-enriched water has measured circulatory-warmth effects. How much magnesium crosses intact skin is still an open question, and the best available review calls for larger studies.
FAQ
Standard or High-Mag?
Same base: ocean minerals, Dead Sea salts, Epsom salts, and the two fizz packets. The High-Mag version includes additional Genuine Zechstein Magnesium Chloride Flakes for those seeking extra magnesium support. Both give the same fizzing 30-45 minute soak.
Why does it fizz?
Sodium bicarbonate and citric acid react in water and release carbon dioxide. That is the whole trick, and it is why the two small packets go in after the tub is full rather than while it is running.
Why only 90-95F?
Not hotter, to help maintain mineral integrity. It also happens to be the temperature you can sit in for 30 to 45 minutes without getting lightheaded when you stand up.
How often can I use it?
Not recommended more than 1–4 times per month unless directed by a professional. One bag is one bath, and it makes an occasional recharge you look forward to.
What can I expect?
Customer feedback highlights a sense of relaxation and calmness, rejuvenation and improved energy, and an overall feeling of well-being and refreshment after the soak. Individual experiences vary.
Pairs well with
- Magnesium Bis-Glycinate — the evening magnesium that actually counts toward your intake
- Mag Glow Tallow Magnesium Lotion — the same Zechstein magnesium, in a lotion for the nights you skip the tub
- Salt of Life — the mineral salt for the kitchen instead of the tub
Cautions
- For external use only.
- Use caution when bathing yourself or children to avoid prolonged submersion.
- Not recommended more than 1–4 times per month unless directed by a professional.
- If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
- NEVER add soap.
- Store in a cool, dry place. Best if used all at once after opening.
