That ALL Day Beard & Stache Magnesium/MSM Lotion. It started for my brothers, who couldn't grow their beards how they wanted. Now men and women use it on their hair, or any hair they want to encourage to grow.
Growth for ANY hair: beard, stache, hairline, or scalp. One 3 oz jar.
- Zechstein Magnesium
- MSM
- Organic Shea Butter
- Lab Tested Hemp Seed Oil
- For Hair Growth
- No Fillers
Why people use it
- Growth for any hair. The Beard & Stache lotion started for my brothers, who couldn't grow their beards how they wanted. It turned into a lotion men use for their faces, and now men and women use it for their hair or any hair they want to encourage to grow. In most cases, clients are reporting benefits from using this product anywhere they need it for hair growth.
- The same Magnesium/MSM base as the whole line. Mostly shea butter, hemp seed oil, Zechstein magnesium, and MSM, so you can use any of them topically to support pain, discomfort, tight muscles, joint issues, low magnesium, cramps, energy, and so much more. There is about 280 mg of magnesium in each teaspoon of lotion.
- Magnesium relaxes tissues, so applying this lotion to any areas with pain, discomfort, tension, and the like should support them. Magnesium is responsible for 3,751 proteins and enzymes, and therefore we can expect using this lotion will support those.
- Straight past the gut. Magnesium is used to make every unit of our energy, and using it topically skips the digestive tract and deposits the magnesium directly into our blood. That is extremely helpful for anyone who can't handle much magnesium orally.
- The oils are the difference. I source high-grade oils and blend specific oils to help with certain ailments. The base is identical across the line; the blend is what you're choosing.
- What clients tell us. Many clients report feedback about the support it gives to their skin, energy, gut, anxiety, irritability, and overall mood, amongst other things.
What you're getting (approximate)
Per 1 teaspoon (topical). Applied to the skin, so this is the magnesium in each teaspoon of lotion, not an oral dose.
| Nutrient | Per serving | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Magnesium | ~280 mg | Label |
Owner-stated figure for the lotion base.
How to use
- Apply 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon to the area of concern and scrub the lotion into the skin of that area. Do this daily to encourage growth.
- We recommend using it around your chest for the aromatic side, or on the bottom of your feet for maximum absorption throughout the entire body.
- Most absorptive areas of the body: bottom of the feet hits the entire body for men and women. Thighs are the second most absorptive spot for women. Forearms are the second most absorptive spot for men.
- Use these if you need to use more lotion and the feet or other areas are already covered.
- All of our Magnesium/MSM Lotions are safe for any adult to use. They should also be safe for just about any 5-12 year old. For our children under 2 years old, we normally only use the Zanex or Sleep Zzz in very small amounts. Zanex and Sleep Zzz are the only lotions we recommend for pregnancy, but all the lotions are safe for breastfeeding.
- These lotions last a long time, but since I use absolutely no fillers, it's best to warm the lotion back up and mix it back together from time to time if it separates. Set the jar in a bowl of hot water for 20 minutes at a time until it melts down, then mix it with a milk frother. Sometimes you'll have to warm it up more than once to get it soft enough to mix.
- Generally, keep it stored in a cool, dry place and mix it back together if it does separate. For potency, use this lotion within 12 months of opening it.
Sourcing & making
Our entire lineup of Magnesium and MSM Lotions has a base of mostly shea butter, hemp seed oil, genuine Zechstein magnesium chloride, and MSM, with my deuterium-depleted distilled water and white/yellow beeswax. The only difference between the lotions is the essential oils included in each blend. I source high-grade oils and blend specific oils to help with certain ailments. The research behind the ingredients
Published research on the ingredients in this product, for education. These studies were not conducted on this product.
Genuine Zechstein Magnesium Chloride (transdermal magnesium)
Effect of transdermal magnesium cream on serum and urinary magnesium levels in humans: A pilot study
PLOS ONE · 2017 · RCT · n=25 enrolled, 24 completed
In a single-blind, parallel-group pilot trial of 25 adults, applying a magnesium cream supplying 56 mg of magnesium daily for two weeks raised serum magnesium by 8.54% versus 2.6% with placebo, reaching statistical significance only in the non-athlete subgroup.
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane)
Methylsulfonylmethane: Applications and Safety of a Novel Dietary Supplement
Nutrients · 2017 · mechanistic review
A peer-reviewed review of the human and animal literature reported that MSM is well tolerated at up to four grams daily and that human trials show lower pain scores and reduced markers of protein oxidation, lipid peroxidation and creatine kinase after exertion.
100% Pure Organic White/Yellow Shea Butter
Shea butter emollient cream randomized trial, 2026
Health Research in Africa · 2026 · RCT · n=30
In an open randomized controlled trial of 30 patients with mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis, a shea butter-based emollient cream reduced mean SCORAD scores by 68.2% - statistically indistinguishable from a reference emollient (p=0.187) - and was rated excellently tolerated in 96.7% of cases.
Evidence note: The base ingredients carry randomized human evidence: a 30-person RCT of a shea-butter emollient cream, a safety and applications review of MSM, and a 25-person transdermal magnesium cream pilot showing an 8.54% serum rise versus 2.6% for placebo, significant in the non-athlete subgroup, whose authors called for larger trials. What these studies measured is skin condition, joint comfort and magnesium status - hair growth and facial-hair density are the outcomes a trial of this cream would need to measure to speak to the product's headline use.
FAQ
What is this blend for?
Hair growth. It started for my brothers' beards, and in most cases clients are reporting benefits from using this product anywhere they need it for hair growth.
How much do I use?
Apply 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon to the area of concern and scrub the lotion into the skin of that area. Do this daily to encourage growth.
Anything else for the scalp?
My wife also loves to rub our BOMB Powder into her scalp. It made a huge difference in how her hair was growing.
What's different between this and the other lotions?
The base is identical across the line: shea butter, hemp seed oil, Zechstein magnesium chloride, my deuterium-depleted distilled water, MSM, and beeswax. The only difference is the essential oil blend. I source high-grade oils and blend specific oils to help with certain ailments.
How much magnesium is in it, and does it get in?
There is about 280 mg of magnesium in each teaspoon of lotion. Magnesium is used to make every unit of our energy, and using it topically skips the digestive tract and deposits the magnesium directly into our blood, which is extremely helpful for anyone who can't handle much magnesium orally.
Why did my jar separate?
Because I use absolutely no fillers. Sit the jar in hot water about 20 minutes, then remix with a milk frother. Repeat if it's still firm. It happens faster in a bathroom where temperatures swing. Nothing is wrong with it.
Can kids use it? What about pregnancy?
All of our Magnesium/MSM Lotions are safe for any adult to use, and should also be safe for just about any 5-12 year old. For our children under 2 we normally only use the Zanex or Sleep Zzz, in very small amounts. Zanex and Sleep Zzz are the only lotions we recommend for pregnancy, but all the lotions are safe for breastfeeding.
Pairs well with
- Copper Face Serum — for the facial skin the beard sits on
- Whipped Tallow Lotion — heavier, for skin that wants more
- BOMB Bath Salts — magnesium in the tub, same mineral, different route
Cautions
