That ALL Day Deep Tissue Magnesium/MSM Lotion. An accelerated form of our Recovery Lotion, the lotion I made and used for all my physical therapy clients, for when you're dealing with a nagging pain or something that feels really deep.
Deep rooted pain, anywhere you feel pain or discomfort. Start slow; this oil is POWERFUL. One 3 oz jar.
- Zechstein Magnesium
- MSM
- Organic Shea Butter
- Lab Tested Hemp Seed Oil
- Deep Rooted Pain
- No Fillers
Why people use it
- Deep rooted pain. Deep Tissue is an accelerated form of our Recovery Lotion, the lotion I made and used for all my physical therapy clients. When you're dealing with a nagging pain or something that feels really deep, this blend has the same amazing Magnesium/MSM base, but we've added the most powerful combination of essential oils aimed at targeting the worst muscular or skeletal issues the body can have.
- The same Magnesium/MSM base as the whole line. Mostly shea butter, hemp seed oil, Zechstein magnesium, and MSM, so you can use any of them topically to support pain, discomfort, tight muscles, joint issues, low magnesium, cramps, energy, and so much more. There is about 280 mg of magnesium in each teaspoon of lotion.
- Magnesium relaxes tissues, so applying this lotion to any areas with pain, discomfort, tension, and the like should support them. Magnesium is responsible for 3,751 proteins and enzymes, and therefore we can expect using this lotion will support those.
- Straight past the gut. Magnesium is used to make every unit of our energy, and using it topically skips the digestive tract and deposits the magnesium directly into our blood. That is extremely helpful for anyone who can't handle much magnesium orally.
- The oils are the difference. I source high-grade oils and blend specific oils to help with certain ailments. The base is identical across the line; the blend is what you're choosing.
- What clients tell us. Many clients report feedback about the support it gives to their skin, energy, gut, anxiety, irritability, and overall mood, amongst other things.
What you're getting (approximate)
Per 1 teaspoon (topical). Applied to the skin, so this is the magnesium in each teaspoon of lotion, not an oral dose.
| Nutrient | Per serving | Basis |

How to use
- In addition to all the other basic recommendations we suggest after this, Deep Tissue should be used topically anywhere you feel pain or discomfort. Start slow; this oil is POWERFUL!
- We recommend using it around your chest for the aromatic side or on the bottom of your feet for maximum absorption throughout the entire body.
- Most absorptive areas of the body: bottom of the feet hits the entire body for men and women. Thighs are the second most absorptive spot for women. Forearms are the second most absorptive spot for men.
- Use these if you need to use more lotion and the feet or other areas are already covered.
- These lotions last a long time, but since I use absolutely no fillers, it's best to warm the lotion back up and mix it back together from time to time if you aren't using all the lotion before it separates. This will happen more often if the lotion is stored in a bathroom setting where temperatures fluctuate up and down more often. I recommend setting the lotion in a bowl with hot water for 20 minutes at a time until the lotion has melted down and then mixing it with a milk frother. Sometimes you'll have to warm it up more than once to get it soft enough to mix.

The research behind the ingredients
Published research on the ingredients in this product, for education. These studies were not conducted on this product.
Genuine Zechstein Magnesium Chloride (transdermal magnesium)
Transdermal magnesium chloride feasibility study, 2015
Journal of Integrative Medicine · 2015 · cohort · n=40 enrolled, 24 completed
In a four-week single-arm feasibility study of 40 women with fibromyalgia (24 completed), magnesium chloride spray applied to the arms and legs twice daily improved Revised Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire subscale and total scores at weeks 2 and 4 (total score P=0.001).
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane)
MSM knee comfort randomized trial, 2011
BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine · 2011 · RCT · n=49
In a 12-week double-blind, placebo-controlled randomized trial of 49 adults with knee osteoarthritis, 3.375 g/day of oral MSM improved WOMAC physical-function and total scores versus placebo, although the authors described the improvements as small.
Genuine Zechstein Magnesium Chloride (transdermal magnesium)
Effect of transdermal magnesium cream on serum and urinary magnesium levels in humans: A pilot study
PLOS ONE · 2017 · RCT · n=25 enrolled, 24 completed
In a single-blind, parallel-group pilot trial of 25 adults, applying a magnesium cream supplying 56 mg of magnesium daily for two weeks raised serum magnesium by 8.54% versus 2.6% with placebo, reaching statistical significance only in the non-athlete subgroup.
Evidence note: The most relevant human data here is about comfort and movement: a randomized placebo-controlled trial of 49 adults found MSM improved knee osteoarthritis pain and function scores, and a single-arm feasibility study of transdermal magnesium chloride in fibromyalgia patients recorded improvement in quality-of-life measures. The absorption side rests on a 25-person cream pilot showing an 8.54% serum rise versus 2.6% for placebo, with its authors calling for larger trials to settle the transdermal dose question. The essential oils in this blend are proprietary, so a controlled trial of this cream as sold is the study that would tie all three strands to the product.

How do I start?
Use it topically anywhere you feel pain or discomfort. Start slow; this oil is POWERFUL.
What's different between this and the other lotions?
The base is identical across the line: shea butter, hemp seed oil, Zechstein magnesium chloride, my deuterium-depleted distilled water, MSM, and beeswax. The only difference is the essential oil blend. I source high-grade oils and blend specific oils to help with certain ailments.
How much magnesium is in it, and does it get in?

Why did my jar separate?
Because I use absolutely no fillers. Sit the jar in hot water about 20 minutes, then remix with a milk frother. Repeat if it's still firm. It happens faster in a bathroom where temperatures swing. Nothing is wrong with it.
Can kids use it? What about pregnancy?
All of our Magnesium/MSM Lotions are safe for any adult to use, and should also be safe for just about any 5-12 year old. For our children under 2 we normally only use the Zanex or Sleep Zzz, in very small amounts. Zanex and Sleep Zzz are the only lotions we recommend for pregnancy, but all the lotions are safe for breastfeeding.
