This synergistic formula enhances the integrity of your gut by promoting the absorption of nutrients and water.
- Adults who want enzyme support with meals
- Anyone who wants an enzyme product that prints its activity units instead of saying 'full spectrum' and stopping
- Take 3 capsules daily, preferably with meals or as directed by your healthcare professional.
- Promote optimal digestion. Enzymes to support digestion and gut health: protease, amylase, lipase, lactase, cellulase and thirteen more, each with its activity units on the panel.
- Enhance gut integrity. FIQ's framing: a synergistic formula that enhances the integrity of your gut by promoting the absorption of nutrients and water.
- Supports digestive comfort. The third of FIQ's three stated benefits for this formula.

The research behind the ingredients
Published research on the ingredients in this product, for education. These studies were not conducted on this product.
Full spectrum digestive enzyme blend (proteases, lipase, amylase, lactase, cellulase)
Nutrition and Dietary Supplements · 2024 · RCT · n=20 healthy adults (crossover)
In a randomized placebo-controlled crossover trial in 20 healthy adults, a single dose of an 18-enzyme blend with ginger, fennel and peppermint taken with a meal reduced measured abdominal distension by 58% at 30 minutes and 68% at 90 minutes versus placebo, while self-reported symptom scores only trended in the same direction.
Lipase component of the digestive enzyme blend
Lipase Supplementation before a High-Fat Meal Reduces Perceptions of Fullness in Healthy Subjects
Gut and Liver · 2015 · RCT · n=16 healthy volunteers (crossover)
In a double-blind placebo-controlled crossover trial in 16 healthy adults, 280 mg of acid-resistant lipase taken immediately before a 55%-fat meal lowered reported stomach fullness at 20 and 30 minutes versus placebo, with no change in bloating, nausea or gastric electrical activity.
Supplemental proteases and lipases
Potential Roles of Exogenous Proteases and Lipases as Prebiotics
Nutrients · 2025 · mechanistic review · n=13 studies (all animal)
Reviewing 13 studies, all of them in animals, the authors report that supplemental proteases and lipases shifted gut microbiota composition and raised short-chain fatty acid production, with human trials named as the next step.
Evidence note: Two small randomized human crossover trials (n=20 and n=16) measured post-meal distension and fullness after multi-enzyme and lipase products, and FIQ's panel publishes activity units for all 18 enzymes, so this formula can be compared unit for unit against those blends. What remains to be studied is this exact combination in a trial of its own.
FAQ
Who makes this?
Formula IQ, Morley Robbins' line. We resell it as the manufacturer supplies it; the panel, directions, and warnings on this page are FIQ's.
Which enzymes are in it, and how much?
All eighteen are named on the panel with their activity units, and the full table is above. Protease 1 at 60,000 HUT and Protease 2 at 12,000 HUT lead it, with 15,000 DU of amylase and 3,750 FIP of lipase. That is what lets you compare this against any other enzyme product on the shelf.
What do HUT, DU, and FIP mean?
They are assay-specific activity units, the standard way enzyme potency is measured: HUT for protease, DU for amylase, FIP for lipase, ALU for lactase, and so on. Milligrams tell you the weight of powder; activity units tell you what it can actually do.
How do I take it?
Take 3 capsules daily, preferably with meals or as directed by your healthcare professional.
What is the capsule made of?
A vegetable capsule of hypromellose and water, as FIQ's panel states.
Can I get a certificate of analysis?
Yes. Every product is lab tested and certificates of analysis are available on request, about a 2-week turnaround.
