Do I really need to refrigerate a probiotic?
Each of these three species has randomized human data: Bacillus coagulans for digestive comfort over 90 days, Bacillus subtilis for bloating and burping in 76 healthy adults, and FOS for raising Bifidobacterium counts across eight controlled studies. Three species and their fiber, one capsule.
- Adults building a simple daily digestive routine rather than a rotating stack
- Practitioners who want a shelf-stable spore format they can hand a client without cold-chain instructions
- Anyone who has given up on refrigerated probiotics because they keep forgetting them
- 1 capsule first thing in the morning with about 16 oz of water.
- Wait 15 minutes before your first meal or your Adrenal Cocktail.
- Most individuals take 1–2 capsules per day. Do not exceed 3 unless otherwise directed.
- Individual results vary, but consistent daily use supports the best outcomes.
- They also pair well with Digestive Enzymes to provide more complete digestive support.
- Spores, not a cold chain. Bacillus species arrive as spores. A 2024 review describes them as acid- and bile-resistant with a longer shelf life than vegetative-cell probiotics, which is why the label says a cupboard instead of a fridge.
- Three species, each with human data. Bacillus coagulans, subtilis, and clausii all have randomized human trials behind them. Read them in the drop-down below.
- Prebiotic and probiotic in the same capsule. Prebiotics help feed beneficial bacteria, while probiotics provide live cultures that contribute to a balanced digestive environment. Together, they may also support the body in addressing endotoxins, which are proteins that can build up in the gut. A meta-analysis of eight controlled studies in 388 people found FOS raised fecal Bifidobacterium counts without raising digestive side effects.
- Formulated to support healthy digestion and nutrient absorption, a balanced gut microbiome, and reduced occasional bloating and indigestion. In 76 healthy adults, Bacillus subtilis improved a composite score of bloating, burping, and flatulence more often than placebo.
- Timed to stay out of the way. One capsule on an empty stomach with 16 oz of water, 15 minutes before food or your Adrenal Cocktail, so the two are not competing for the same window.
Looking for more than just the probiotic to help you?
Is a daily biotic the same as a digestive enzyme?
No. The Daily Biotic feeds and seeds the gut: three spore-based species plus a prebiotic, one capsule a day. Digest IQ is the enzyme you take with a meal when food sits heavy. Many people run both: biotic daily, Digest IQ with the big meals.

What's in the capsule
The capsule holds about 700 mg total.
| Ingredient | What it contributes |
|---|---|
| Fructooligosaccharide (FOS) | Prebiotic fiber. Feeds the Bifidobacteria already in the gut, alongside the spores. |
| Bacillus coagulans | Spore-forming probiotic. Studied in adults for digestive comfort and regularity. |
| Bacillus subtilis | Spore-forming probiotic. Studied in healthy adults for occasional bloating and everyday digestive comfort. |
| Bacillus clausii | Spore-forming probiotic, acid- and bile-resistant. |
| USP grade pork-free bovine capsule | The shell. No fillers, no flow agents. |
The ~700 mg fill is the label figure. FOS dose-response context from a 90-day randomized dose-response trial and a 2022 meta-analysis; spore-format context from a 2024 review of Bacillus probiotics in Foods.

The research behind the ingredients
Published research on the ingredients in this product, for education. These studies were not conducted on this product.
Prebiotic - Fructooligosaccharide (FOS)
Nutrients · 2022 · systematic review and meta-analysis · n=8 studies, 388 participants
Pooling eight controlled human studies in 388 people, FOS supplementation significantly increased faecal Bifidobacterium counts versus control, with the clearest effect at 7.5-15 g/day for more than four weeks, no significant change in Lactobacillus or Enterobacteriaceae, and no increase in gastrointestinal side effects.
Probiotic - Bacillus coagulans
Bacillus coagulans digestive comfort trial, 2016
Nutrition Journal · 2016 · RCT · n=36
In a double-blind placebo-controlled trial of 36 adults with diarrhoea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome, 2 billion CFU/day of Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856 for 90 days significantly improved bloating, abdominal pain, stool frequency and quality-of-life scores versus placebo, with no significant adverse events.
Probiotic - Bacillus subtilis
Gut Microbes · 2022 · RCT · n=76
In 76 healthy adults, 2 billion CFU/day of Bacillus subtilis BS50 for six weeks improved a composite score of bloating, burping and flatulence in 47.4% of participants versus 22.2% on placebo, and was well tolerated with no meaningful changes in blood chemistry or inflammatory markers.
Evidence note: Moderate: all three ingredient classes have genuine randomized human data, but every trial used a specific named strain (MTCC 5856, BS50) at a stated CFU dose, and this label lists neither strain designations nor CFU counts, so the evidence supports the ingredient categories rather than this exact formula. Bacillus clausii also has a supporting meta-analysis of six paediatric RCTs (Ianiro et al., Nutrients 2018, https://www.mdpi.com/2072-6643/10/8/1074) but was not among the three best matches to this product's adult, everyday-use positioning.
FAQ
Why doesn't this need refrigeration?
All three species are spore formers. A 2024 review in Foods describes Bacillus spores as acid- and bile-resistant with a longer shelf life than vegetative-cell probiotics. That is why a cool, dry cupboard is enough.
How many CFUs are in a capsule?
The capsule is about 700 mg total: all three spore-forming species plus their FOS, in one shelf-stable capsule.
Is the FOS enough to count as my prebiotic fiber?
The FOS here works as a companion to the spores, feeding the Bifidobacteria already in your gut. Keep getting fiber volume from food on top of it.
Can I take it with the Adrenal Cocktail?
Take this first, with water, then wait 15 minutes. It is a scheduling choice, not a chemistry problem - it keeps the two from landing in the same window.
What do people notice?
Customer feedback highlights improvements in skin appearance (including reduced acne), digestive comfort (less bloating, better regularity), and overall gut function and energy levels. Individual results vary, but consistent daily use supports the best outcomes.

Cautions
- Most people do well with 1–2 capsules daily.
