What is this, and is it for me?
A blend of 10 wildcrafted or organic, non-GMO herbs, barks, roots, seeds and leaves, garlic-forward and formulated for children - packaged by your child's weight. Same three-times-a-year rhythm as the adult flush.
- Families already running seasonal cleanses who want the children on the same calendar, a month apart
- Parents who want a children's blend built around garlic as the primary base
- Households that want the dose to follow the child's weight rather than a guess at their age
- This product is formulated for children only (ages 2-12). For the adult version, see the Adult Herbal Flush.
- Choose the package closest to your child's weight.
- Take 1/2 of the recommended dose listed on the package. Each package is sized for a different weight; e.g., the 60 lb version is double the 30 lb version.
- Take the remaining 1/2 dose at least 12 hours later, either before food or at least 1-2 hours after food.
- Continue daily until the entire bag is finished, then stop for three months.
- For best results, cleaner eating helps, but many see benefits even without dietary changes.
- Never run the adult Herbal Flush and the Kids Flush in the same month - separate them by one month.
- Built on The Human Wormer. That's the framework behind it: vermifuge herbs paired with aromatics and bowel-movers, run as a timed course with a long rest between rounds rather than as a daily habit. Josh adapted the children's version into a quarterly routine and sized it by weight.
- Ten herbs, with garlic as the primary base. That base is what makes it gentler for children. Same idea as the adult flush, a simpler architecture.
- Parasites are not only worms. They also include bacteria, fungi, mucus and other organisms that thrive off our energy. This flush is designed to support balance across the full cycle - adult, larva and egg, and to encourage the body's natural cleansing of toxins, metals, fungi and mucus. Supports balance across gut and immune systems.
- Sized by weight, not by age. Four packages, proportioned so the 60 lb bag is double the 30 lb bag. A nine-year-old and a five-year-old are not the same child; the scale follows the body, not the birthday.
- Still covers the full cycle. Black walnut hull and cloves stay in - the vermifuge and its egg-stage partner - so the course doesn't leave half the work behind.
- Yellow dock keeps things leaving. Yellow dock root is the mover in this blend: traditionally used to keep the bowel flowing so what gets loosened actually goes out.
- Garlic and milk thistle carry real research. Garlic across 19 randomized trials in 999 adults; milk thistle's silymarin across 41 trials for normal liver enzyme markers.
- A month on, three months off. The rest period is part of the routine. These are cleanse herbs, not daily herbs.

The ten herbs and what each one does here
The children's version of a traditional wormer formula: a garlic base, the vermifuge pair, one mover, a demulcent and the aromatics that make it tolerable.
| Herb | Traditional role in the formula |
|---|---|
| Garlic | The base of the children's blend; the kitchen antimicrobial families have reached for against unwelcome guests for as long as there have been kitchens. The most-studied herb in here - 19 randomized trials in 999 adults. |
| Black walnut hull | The classic vermifuge; juglone-rich, the herb the whole wormer tradition is built around. A tree nut - see the cautions. |
| Cloves | The egg-stage partner; eugenol-rich and warming, traditionally paired with black walnut so nothing is left to hatch after the course ends. |
| Yellow dock root | The mover; with cascara left out, this is what keeps things flowing so what's loosened leaves. Also the old blood-cleanser root. |
| Pau d'arco | Lapacho bark; the traditional alterative where yeast and fungal overgrowth have taken hold - the herb for damp, sour terrain. |
| Thyme | The aromatic antiseptic; a volatile-oil herb used for generations to clean house through the gut and the lungs both. |
| Marshmallow root | The demulcent; mucilage that coats and soothes the gut wall so the stronger herbs travel over something soft. |
| Peppermint | The settler; a carminative that keeps a child's stomach comfortable while the rest of the formula works, and makes the taste something they'll actually take. |
| Cayenne | The carrier; a small amount of warmth to drive circulation and push the formula further, scaled down to a child's share. |
| Milk thistle | The liver's herb; silymarin is the constituent tested across 41 randomized adult trials for normal liver enzyme markers. Support for the organ doing the filtering while the rest is moving. |
A proprietary blend of wildcrafted or organic herbs - the ten are named, and every package is scaled to the weight band on the front. The roles above are the traditional herbal uses these plants have carried for generations.

- Closest to 90 lb - the next band up.

The research behind the ingredients
Published research on the ingredients in this product, for education. These studies were not conducted on this product.
Garlic (Allium sativum)
Garlic supplementation meta-analysis, 2023
BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies · 2023 · systematic review and meta-analysis · n=19 RCTs, 999 participants
Pooling 19 randomized controlled trials in 999 adults, garlic supplementation significantly lowered triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, diastolic blood pressure, BMI and waist circumference versus placebo, with the authors noting substantial heterogeneity and possible publication bias.
Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum / silymarin)
Silymarin liver-marker meta-analysis, 2024
Phytotherapy Research · 2024 · systematic review and dose-response meta-analysis · n=41 RCTs
Pooling 41 randomized controlled trials, silymarin supplementation significantly lowered serum alkaline phosphatase, ALT, AST and creatinine and raised serum glutathione, with the clearest effects at higher doses taken for 12 weeks or longer and no demonstrated benefit for kidney function.
Peppermint (Mentha piperita)
Peppermint oil digestive comfort meta-analysis, 2019
BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine · 2019 · systematic review and meta-analysis · n=12 RCTs, 835 patients
Pooling 12 randomized trials in 835 adults, peppermint oil was more than twice as likely as placebo to improve global gastrointestinal symptoms (RR 2.39) and improved abdominal pain (RR 1.78), with adverse events no more frequent than placebo.
Evidence note: Moderate for the individual herbs, adult-only in population: garlic, milk thistle and peppermint each have solid randomized evidence, every trial located was conducted in adults, and none tested a multi-herb blend. Because this product is made for children aged 2-12 at weight-scaled amounts, read the adult evidence as background on the individual herbs rather than as a study of this blend in children.
A note on iron
Iron is essential, but stored and unbound iron is reactive; it feeds oxidative stress. The body moves iron using copper-dependent ceruloplasmin and vitamin A, which is why we focus on whole-food copper and retinol rather than pushing more iron. If you are considering iron, test your levels first and talk it through with your practitioner. Iron is not right for everyone.

FAQ
How is this different from the adult version?
Ten herbs rather than twenty, and formulated with garlic as a primary base, which is what makes it gentler for children. It keeps black walnut and cloves for the full cycle, yellow dock as the mover, and marshmallow root to keep the gut comfortable.
Why sized by weight instead of age?
Because children of the same age can be half again each other's size. Each package is proportioned to a weight band - the 60 lb bag is double the 30 lb bag - so the dose follows the actual body. Pick the band closest to your child.
Why three times a year?
Traditionally, families performed seasonal cleanses 3-4 times a year. We recommend this every 4 months - three times a year - as routine maintenance for children. One month on, three months off. Each round works in waves, going deeper with repeated use, and the rest between is part of how it works.
What might we see?
Detox symptoms may occur - flu-like feelings, loose stools, breakouts or temporary fatigue. These are histamine responses, not true allergic reactions. Anything like a rash, swelling or a change in breathing is a different matter - stop. Many parents report visible changes in bowel movements during the cleanse, and each round goes deeper.
Can we do our flush and theirs at the same time?
Separate them by one month. And if you're breastfeeding, wait until the baby is at least 2 years old before either of you starts a round.
Pairs well with
- Herbal Flush for Adults — the grown-up version - run it a month apart from theirs, never alongside
- Electrolyte Powder — fluids and minerals alongside and between rounds
- Salt of Life — high-mineral, high-electrolyte sea salt with every meal
Cautions
- Do not use more than once every 4 months. (Cleanse for 1 month, then wait 3 months before the next round.)
- If you are breastfeeding, make sure the baby is at least 2 years old before starting the Kids Flush or your Flush, and avoid doing them at the same time. Separate your Flush and the Kids Flush by 1 month.
- Do not use any of the included herbs daily outside the cleanse. The gut needs a rest period between flushes.
- If allergic to tree nuts (e.g., black walnut), do not use. Contact us for a modified recipe.
- Detox symptoms may occur, including flu-like feelings, loose stools, breakouts, or temporary fatigue. These are histamine responses, not true allergic reactions, and often indicate the body is working through stored imbalances.
- Not for children under 2 years old. For children ages 2-12.
- Keep the powder out of reach between doses. Store in a cool, dry cupboard. Strong shelf life; no refrigeration required.
