How it works
- You log. Seven days at a time, exactly as they happen — food, drink, brands, what it was cooked in, movement, sleep, stress, and how you actually felt. Not a perfect week. A real one. Log one week, or keep going up to four.
- You send it to me. Hit Copy for analysis at the bottom of the log, then paste it into an email to info@modernrootslife.com. Doing more than one week? Hit Save file at the end of each week, start fresh, and send them all together.
- I read every day of it. You get a full written report, and a voice message from me walking through what I found.
- You make the changes. Log again afterward if you want, and we look at what moved.
Why both sides
Your analysis shows you everything in a full comparative light, using both mainstream and holistic perspectives. I have found that this creates a much better harmony between the two camps and allows people to properly analyze their situation, whether they are working with a naturopath or a typical MD. What is the 1909 diet? →
It is not a diet anybody went on. It is simply what people actually ate before industrial seed oils existed.
In 1909, linoleic acid made up roughly 2 to 3 percent of the average American's calories. By 1999 it was over 7 percent, and for a lot of people today it runs higher than that. Almost the entire increase came from one place — soybean oil consumption rose more than a thousand-fold over that same period.
