What is this, and is it for me?
Barefoot on the beach, indoors. A red pin in your outlet's ground hole, a long cord to the bed, and copper against bare skin - a belt for the torso and a band for the ankle. Nothing powered.
- People starting grounding indoors who want both the belt and the ankle band rather than choosing one
- Side sleepers and anyone who has found a waist belt uncomfortable overnight and wants a second option in the same kit
- Practitioners who want to try a grounding accessory with clients and be able to swap the contact point
- Measure at the belly button, completely relaxed, without pulling in. Order that size. Measure the ankle just a bit above it for the second size.
- Test the outlet with a plug-in ground checker before the first use. In an older house, have an electrician confirm it.
- Seat the red pin in the lower round grounding hole only. Run the black cord to where you will rest.
- Snap the Y-connector onto both ends of the copper band. It only goes on one way. Copper has to touch bare skin, not clothing. Use one ground source at a time.
- Most use the copper waist belt when sleeping. You can also wear it around your neck during the day only - bed time would be dangerous. The anklet/bracelet can also be used at night to spot target specific areas, or if the belt is too difficult for you at first. Sometimes it takes getting used to, and other times you're a breastfeeding Mom and the tossing and turning needs another option.
- After each use, pinch the band and draw it through your fingers end to end. It prevents burrs and spikey strands of copper from building up, and helps extend the life of your kit significantly.
- Regardless of what you choose, simply ensure the wires are set up how I said here and the copper is touching your skin, and you'll be feeling the benefits of grounding.
- There's never too much grounding, and there's never a time you wouldn't want to be doing it.
- Barefoot on grass, indoors. Walking the beach barefoot and clipping a copper band to your house ground are the same idea. This is the version you can do while you sleep.
- Two wearables, one connection. The belt is the large-contact option most people sleep in. The ankle band is the small one for daytime, for a specific spot, or for nights the belt is awkward. The Y-connector serves whichever one you have on.
- The research behind it. Published earthing research has measured overnight cortisol rhythm, sleep, pain, mood, blood viscosity and inflammation markers. It supports the body's normal overnight cortisol rhythm, a calmer mood during rest, and normal blood flow. All four trials are in the research drop-down with what each one measured.
- One connection, and it has to be real. The whole kit depends on the outlet's ground actually reaching a ground rod. Test it with a plug-in checker before the first night, and have an electrician confirm it in an older house.
- Built to be re-smoothed, not thrown out. Pinch the copper between your fingers and draw it end to end after each use. It prevents burrs and spikey strands of copper, and helps extend the life of your kit significantly - Josh has had one last nearly three years.

What's in the box
Five parts. Each one is sold separately as a replacement, so a worn belt does not mean a new kit.
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Red pin wire | A single pin that seats in the lower round grounding hole of a properly wired outlet. Nothing goes in the flat hot or neutral slots. |
| Long black cord | Carries the connection from the outlet across the room to wherever you rest. |
| Y-connector | Splits into two legs that snap onto the two ends of one copper band. It seats one way only. |
| Copper waist belt | The large-contact wearable, 20 to 26 inches. This is the one most people sleep in. |
| Copper ankle or wrist band | The small-contact wearable, 8 to 10 inches. For daytime, for spot placement, or for nights the belt is awkward. |
Only one wearable is connected at a time - the Y-connector serves whichever band is in use. Every part is sold on its own when it wears out: waist belt, ankle or wrist band, red pin wire.
How to use
- Measure at the belly button, completely relaxed, without pulling in. Order that size. Measure the ankle just a bit above it for the second size.
- Test the outlet with a plug-in ground checker before the first use. In an older house, have an electrician confirm it.
- Seat the red pin in the lower round grounding hole only. Run the black cord to where you will rest.
- Snap the Y-connector onto both ends of the copper band. It only goes on one way. Copper has to touch bare skin, not clothing. Use one ground source at a time.

- There's never too much grounding, and there's never a time you wouldn't want to be doing it.
Sourcing & making
This product does not use electricity, and we use the smallest fuse we could find to ensure that no electricity is sent through the kit into your body. The red pin wire replaced an earlier molded plug because customers kept assuming a plug carried power; the bare pin makes it obvious that only the ground contact is used.
Who it's for
- People starting grounding indoors who want both the belt and the ankle band rather than choosing one
- Side sleepers and anyone who has found a waist belt uncomfortable overnight and wants a second option in the same kit
- Practitioners who want to try a grounding accessory with clients and be able to swap the contact point
Setup in five steps
- Test the outlet. A plug-in ground checker costs less than lunch. In an older house, have an electrician confirm the ground before you use the kit at all.
- Seat the red pin in the lower round hole of the outlet - the round one, not either flat slot.
- Run the black cord to the bed or chair. Route it where it will not be walked on, pinched under a frame, or pulled taut.
- Snap the Y-connector onto both ends of the copper band. It seats one way only.
- Put the band on so copper meets bare skin, not clothing. Smooth the strands through your fingers when you take it off.
Why I don't think grounding is 'New Age'
- Some people consider grounding "New Age," and I ask the question, "Is walking barefoot in the grass also? Is going to the beach and walking barefoot considered to be some type of witchcraft?" They are the same exact thing.
- These products simply allow us to ground inside as if we had our bare feet walking in the sand on the beach.
- The Earth is charged with free electrons from lightning strikes. These fill the earth with the same current that our bodies, animals, and plants heal with. When we touch our bare skin to the earth, we benefit greatly from this; as simple as that.
- Plants are not happy to go from a pot to the soil just because they are now with their friends - they get massive amounts of energy to use and thrive from. Plants that aren't grounded become way more susceptible to root rot, because there is no magnetic field from the earth holding the water to the soil. That is just one example of how logical this is.
- This type of healing energy can ONLY come from The Most High; no one else possesses the power to heal us.

Copper waist belt and copper ankle/bracelet in direct skin contact, connected to the household electrical ground (earthing)
Grounding randomized trial in massage therapists, 2019
Explore (New York, N.Y.) · 2019 · RCT · n=16
In a 6-week double-blind, stepped-wedge randomized controlled trial of 16 massage therapists, weeks spent grounded while working and while sleeping produced significant increases in physical function and energy and significant decreases in fatigue, tiredness, pain and depressed mood compared with ungrounded weeks.
Copper waist belt and copper ankle/bracelet in direct skin contact, connected to the household electrical ground (earthing)
The Effect of Grounding the Human Body on Mood
Psychological Reports · 2015 · RCT · n=40
In a double-blind sham-controlled pilot of 40 adults grounded or sham-grounded for one hour while relaxing in a recliner, pleasant and positive mood scores on the Brief Mood Introspection Scale improved significantly in the grounded group but not in the sham group.
Copper waist belt and copper ankle/bracelet in direct skin contact, connected to the household electrical ground (earthing)
Overnight grounding and cortisol pilot, 2004
The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine · 2004 · uncontrolled single-arm pilot trial (no sham group; outcomes partly self-reported) · n=12
In an uncontrolled 8-week pilot of 12 adults reporting sleep trouble, pain and stress who slept on a conductive grounding pad, night-time salivary cortisol was significantly reduced and 24-hour cortisol profiles trended toward a normal circadian pattern, with self-reported sleep, pain and stress improving in nearly all subjects.
Copper waist belt and copper ankle/bracelet in direct skin contact, connected to the household electrical ground (earthing)
Grounding and blood viscosity pilot, 2013
The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine · 2013 · pre/post pilot study (no sham group) · n=10
In a pilot study of 10 healthy adults grounded for two hours while seated, red blood cell zeta potential - the electrostatic repulsion that keeps red cells from clumping together - rose 2.7-fold, from an average of -5.28 mV to -14.3 mV (p = 0.00036), and average red-cell cluster size fell from 34.7 cells to 15.0 cells, indicating lower blood viscosity after grounding.
Evidence note: What has been published on grounding is early-stage and small. The trials collected here run from 10 to 40 people, the strongest is a 16-person double-blind randomized controlled trial, and several outcomes are self-reported; larger and longer trials are the next step. Readers should also know that Gaetan Chevalier, an author on three of these papers, discloses in the related 2015 Journal of Inflammation Research grounding paper that he is a paid contractor for and shareholder in EarthFx Inc., which sponsors earthing research.
FAQ
What is it, what's in it?
This is our amazing GKIT! If you are looking into grounding, or if you are looking to get the highest connection from any grounding kit on the market, then you have come to the right place. This is our deluxe kit; the only difference is this one has the anklet/bracelet for more specific targeting, but essentially the rest of the Standard and Deluxe kits work exactly the same. If you are looking for the Standard Grounding Kit with only the Copper Waist Belt, see the link under 'Pairs well with' below.
What can I use it for?
Grounding has been shown to support cortisol, boost energy, change your body composition through lowering body fat, support inflammation and pain, support healthy sleep patterns by balancing the body's cortisol levels, and much much more!
What can I expect when using this product?
The feedback we get on this product is amazing. People rave about sleep and pain the most, but we get everything from body fat to energy to libido in our feedback from clients. Please let us know what it does for you!
How do I know my outlet is actually grounded?
Test it with a plug-in outlet checker before the first use, and have an electrician confirm it in an older house. A three-slot outlet can look grounded with no ground path behind it, and common three-light testers cannot catch a reverse-polarity bootleg ground.
Can I use it during a thunderstorm?
Although the kit should be safe during lightning strikes, I personally do not use it during electrical storms. Unplug the pin wire and take the band off if one is coming through.
Is there electricity running into me?
No. This product does not use electricity, and we use the smallest fuse we could find to ensure that no electricity is sent through the kit into your body. The pin contacts only the receptacle's grounding conductor, never the hot or neutral slots. That is exactly why the outlet's ground has to be verified first - the whole design rests on that one connection being real.
What has the research actually measured?
Overnight cortisol rhythm, sleep, pain, mood and blood viscosity. The published work supports normal cortisol rhythm, calmer mood during rest, and normal blood flow. All four trials are linked below with what each one measured, so you can read them yourself.
How long should the copper last?
Two to three years, if you smooth the strands between your fingers after each use and store the band where it will not be crushed. Replace it sooner if strands break, burrs form, or the connector ends stop holding.
Pairs well with
- Standard Grounding Kit (Waist Belt Only) — same kit without the ankle band, and it goes up to a 39 in waist
- Waist Belt Replacement — the part that wears out first, in two to three years
- Red Pin Wire Replacement — a spare lead for a second room
Cautions
- This product does not use electricity, and we use the smallest fuse we could find to ensure that no electricity is sent through the kit into your body. Although the kit should be safe during lightning strikes, I personally do not use it during electrical storms.
- The red pin goes only in the lower round grounding hole of a properly wired outlet. Never the flat hot or neutral slots.
- Store the copper flat where it will not be crushed, smooth it between your fingers after each use, and plan on new copper every two to three years.
Replaceable Parts
Belt, ankle band, Y-connector and pin wire all sold separately. When one wears out you replace that one.
No Electricity
