We no longer use the plug pictured, people thought it had electricity going through it even though it didn't, so we switched to the Red Wire with Pin that you will get with your kit instead. It works the same and connects only to the round ground hole on the bottom of your socket.

If you do not have a 3 prong socket, then you will need to find one close with an extension cord or you can have an electrician wire the one next to your bedroom.

I also offer a custom kit with grounding peg and 20 foot cord to go out your window. We can do even longer if you're on the second floor and that's the route you want to go. Just let us know.
