What is this, and is it for me?
Recuperate IQ brings together copper bisglycinate and carefully selected whole-food and botanical cofactors, with the addition of boron, to support how the body naturally uses copper.
- Adults looking to enhance copper intake with whole-food and botanical cofactors
- Practitioners using Morley Robbins' Formula IQ line with clients
- People who want every amount printed on the panel
- Take 1 capsule with food up to 2 times daily, or as directed by your healthcare professional.
- Consistency on a daily basis is key to optimal results.
- Enhance copper intake. Copper bisglycinate chelate, 2 mg per capsule, brought together with whole-food and botanical cofactors to support how the body naturally uses copper.
- Support cellular health. FIQ's formula is designed to support the body's natural energy pathways, as copper plays a key role in cellular energy production and antioxidant systems.
- Promote blood health. Copper also plays a key role in healthy blood function, and the formula is designed to support the body's natural blood health pathways.
- Reduce inflammation. In FIQ's words, boron functions as an anti-inflammatory that helps maintain proper copper and iron balance while supporting magnesium absorption. Turmeric root extract standardized to 95% curcuminoids rides alongside.
- Whole-food cofactors in the same capsule. 300 mg of beef liver powder and 300 mg of spirulina, the carefully selected whole-food cofactors FIQ built the formula around.

The research behind the ingredients
Published research on the ingredients in this product, for education. These studies were not conducted on this product.
2 mg copper bis-glycinate
Response of putative indices of copper status to copper supplementation in human subjects
British Journal of Nutrition · 2000 · RCT · n=24 healthy adults (12 women, 12 men), crossover
In a double-blind placebo-controlled crossover study in 24 healthy adults aged 22-45, copper supplementation raised serum diamine oxidase activity significantly in the group as a whole and in both sexes (p < 0.01), identifying it as a marker that tracks dietary copper intake.
3 mg boron
British Journal of Nutrition · 1993 · RCT · n=Healthy postmenopausal women in a metabolic unit study
In a controlled metabolic-unit study in healthy postmenopausal women, raising boron intake from 0.33 to 3.33 mg/day was tracked against minerals, sex steroids and bone collagen crosslinks; measured values held steady across the range, and the authors note that calcium hyperabsorption on the low-boron diet may have masked movement. What boron does at this intake over longer periods remains to be studied.
300 mg spirulina
Spirulina blood pressure meta-analysis, 2021
Nutrients · 2021 · meta-analysis · n=5 randomized trials, 230 participants (systolic analysis)
Pooling five randomized trials in 230 participants taking 1-8 g/day of spirulina, systolic blood pressure fell by 4.59 mmHg and diastolic by 7.02 mmHg versus control, with larger changes in people who already had elevated blood pressure.
Evidence note: Strongest for copper, which has a controlled human supplementation trial behind it and a published 2 mg per capsule. Boron sits on a controlled feeding study that measured mineral, hormone and bone markers at almost exactly this intake and describes what it observed. Spirulina's pooled trials used 1-8 g a day, three to twenty-seven times the 300 mg here, so it belongs in the formula as whole-food nutrient density rather than as a spirulina dose.
A note on iron
Iron is essential. You need it to carry oxygen and make energy. The catch is that iron only behaves when it is bound and moving. Iron that sits in storage, or circulates unbound, is chemically reactive; it drives the free-radical chemistry researchers call oxidative stress, and elevated ferritin often travels with it.
Moving iron is a copper job. Ceruloplasmin, a copper-dependent enzyme, oxidizes iron so it can leave cells and be used. Without enough copper, that enzyme stalls and so does iron traffic. Retinol, real vitamin A, sits in the same system: low vitamin A status changes how the body handles iron.
That is why we build around whole-food copper, retinol, and magnesium instead of pushing more iron. Magnesium is there for its own reasons; the evidence tying it to iron directly is thin.
If you are thinking about iron, test first. Ferritin, serum iron, and saturation, read by your practitioner with your history in front of them. Iron is not right for everyone.
